Where I live is perched high on a ridge top, yet nestled into the bush.  We can watch the clouds fly by, the tui's play and the swallows duck and dive, all from the safety of the trees.
I often work with green textiles, and I always feel a great connection to the land, and a sense of comfort and home when I do so.
