'Orbit Orts' were named for the shape paired with the need to use up small amounts of string from the ends of rolls or 'orts'.
I wanted, after a long break from making my art, to start with smaller works incorporating textural ripples and korus that wrap and dance around each other and the earthy colours contained within.
I never know what the end piece will look like, and there is a quiet joy in the making of, having to balance both textures and colours to make a piece that is harmonious, beautiful and a reflection of nature.
